From Theater to Headshots

Before I started doing headshots in 2006, I was primarily photographing live theater around Minneapolis. I did a lot of that, which eventually lead to meeting actors who needed a new headshot or promo photos for their plays.

I got busy enough at my studio that I eventually had to choose to continue shooting live theater or focus on headshots. I chose the latter and am proud that I’ve maintained the same photo studio in Northeast Minneapolis for 10+ years.

Just last week I had the opportunity to photograph a lovely new play (Roller Derby Queen) over at the Gremlin Theatre in St. Paul.  To my great surprise, I had two photos above the fold on the cover of the Pioneer Press weekend section.

I didn’t get a physical copy, but a friend sent this photo to me that I wanted to share.
